Job Description

Bring your planning and analytical skills to Arqiva, global leader in communications infrastructure.

This role is a part time (22.5 hours per week) maternity cover until March 2020. The Business Planning Analyst is a key member of the Planning and Delivery functions within the IT Strategy, Planning and Transformation dept of IT, the role will play an important part in the success of Supply & Demand, but also IT operational planning.

The key responsibilities of the Business Planning Analyst include;

  • Identify, collate, analyse, and represent data into Management Information covering all aspects of the operation to directly support Management decision making.
  • Working with Finance, co-ordinate and analyse performance KPIs and align to strategic agenda
  • Provide, analysis and operate models for Demand Resource Planning and associated processes such as Supply Management
  • Consult on business case creation for IT initiatives requiring investment appraisal
  • Lead on Operating Model planning, including capex and opex planning.
  • Support analysis of IT&N Maintenance to identify and implement cost control initiatives
  • Provide analysis and support to IT for Future Fit Transformation
  • Undertake projects and ad-hoc activity as requested


You will hold proven experience at analysing financial data across operational and capital expenditure with the ability to make recommendations on improvement or strategic goals.

You will also hold;

  • Experience in using tolls such as Excel or business support systems
  • Proven experience in planning methods at a business unit level across supply, demand, financials, risk and business priorities
  • Experience in using tools such as Excel or business support systems for planning activities
  • Experience to influence through evidence-based analysis.
  • Proven experience in collating, analysing and interpreting data to then present and distribute for varying audiences is critical
